Quantum Tarot Review by Lee Bursten

Lee Bursten, creator of the Zodiac Tarot, the Gay Tarot and well-known tarot author, has written a very generous insightful review of the Quantum Tarot on Aeclectic Tarot Forum. Lee is a prolific and highly-respected reviewer and commentator on tarot in general. His books include the guides to the Lo Scarabeo Universal Marseille deck and the Tarot of Dreams, so it was a real treat for me to read his opinions on the deck.

Lee says: " I see the Quantum Tarot as very much a forward-looking deck, for several reasons, including its innovative concept, its mind-expanding art, and its technological and futuristic theme. "

He goes on to explain that he is moving on from tarot reviewing to creative pastures new. So the Quantum also has the honour of being his final review. I wish him well, but I also hope he'll reconsider once he's had a bit of a break. Read the full review here.

Incidentally, Lee is among the many tarot readers and authors who lent their images to the Quantum Tarot court cards - he's the Knight of Wands!

Also this week, Chris Butler and I spoke to Leisa ReFalo, of the Tarot Connection podcast. In a long telephone conversation recorded for later broadcast on Tarot Connection, Chris and I talked in detail about the genesis of the Quantum Tarot and the ideas behind the deck. We even did a "live" reading. Leisa will be posting our interview on Tarot Connection sometime over the next few weeks - I'll include the link here on my blog when it's available. TC is always worth a listen , as Leisa manages to track down some fascinating guests. This week's podcast, about self-publishing and tarot, was particularly interesting for me given the current parlous state of mainstream tarot publishing.
